this my second order the first order was all female and lost 2 (one was sick and the other I think was stress both was the smallest) which they refunded. The second order had 2 male, which work out great since I have 3 from first order, which none are sick in this order. I love this type of swordtails because of the unique pattern and color. both order the fish did not have any defect.

Programmed within their DNA of there can only be 1 male. swords are talented at ripping any other male swords to shreds. So the answer is guppy tank. Now in a month instead of 5 i have 11. even at the tiny size of 1" they will breed. And in my small 20g tall. i have 100 guppies and 11 swords. The swords came in great even after a long time to get here during the december holidays and me not opening the box after 2 days of their arrival. Just took a longer time acclimating as their PH was around 5, all my tanks are 6-6.5 so its not really far apart. I think aqua huna water is 7 , so after about 7 days travel it dropped only a couple of digits. Trust me after shipping and acclimating salt for 10yrs, fresh is way easy. EG salt fish coming from Africa come in at 3.8 -5.5 try dripping them to 8.3, good luck.
BTW PH pen is a great investment, it will take the guesswork out of the equation. Only a few ways fish die after arrival, #1 IS PH SHOCK, #2 is temp shock and #3 is light or looking at you while you bring them nearer to your face with them pearly whites getting ever so closer, scary thought eh! imagine them. Ha ha fish somehow get used to things fast especially since you feed em.

Great fish, ordered 10 all came healthy and free of defects. Good male to female ratio as well!!
