I purchased 4 Rainbow Sharks from Aqua Huna, 8 assorted male Guppies, 8 Snow White Guppies and 2 Snails. The day I got them, I was very happy as they shipped all the way from the West Coast to the East Coast, all of them making it alive.
First day after they arrived I noticed one of my guppies had a little white patch on its spine and fin, then I noticed another one had it. I over looked it due to both of them being all white fish.
Second day both of them died and I noticed 2 of the Sharks and 1 more Guppy with it. After that it seemed like every time I looked at them I saw more. They started appearing everywhere.
They were not all in the same aquariums so I didnt think it was my water quality that caused it but I tested anyway. Especially after noticing the first one having it not even 24hrs later. After testing my water in all of the Aquariums just to be positive, it was all great with no water quality issues. I brought in samples of water to my local fish store to have them test just for a piece of mind and second testing. Came back fine in all areas. I bought the proper meds and started treating immediately.
All in all by the time it stopped spreading and killing my fish, I was left with only 9 of 20 fish left.
I want to say that I did not contact Aqua Huna, and I should have immediately. I let my own anxiety run wild thinking the worst and that I somehow created it. That peace of mind was fixed after testing everything, but can't change it. If I am to ever purchase from Aqua Huna again, I will be medicating them immediately just in case. Not sure I ever will though.
