They all seem very happy and healthy

All six looked happy and healthy when they arrived. It’s been a couple weeks and they are all thriving and have quite a bit of color now. I was a little surprised at the size of the “large” when they arrived. They were quite small but I could just be use to the two adults I have. I’m just glad I didn’t go with a “small” version. Thanks for the quick shipping and the detailed acclimation instructions. We’ve never had any issues when following them. These fish love to be in the front and out in the open which was something I wasn’t used to from my previous CPDs. I’m very happy!!

Smaller than expected, at least 1/6 were sick with wasting disease

The small ones were sold out, so I ordered the "large". I ordered 30 fish, so five six-packs. All the fish showed up alive, but were much smaller than I expected and very pale. They were the size of what I would have thought the small ones to be. Since these went into a heavily planted 75 gallon tank, it has been hard to keep track of just how many survived, but I do know that at least 6 of them developed a wasting disease where their belly was sunken and they would hug the surface of the tank before dying after a week or two.

I have had the fish for 1 month now, and have been feeding often. Those that survived have grown quickly, and are slowly starting to gain some color, though still not bright yet. It has been about a week since I have seen any with the wasting disease, so hopefully it does not spread.
