Note: The shrimp are shipped with a sponge. The shrimp may bury themselves inside of this during shipping, so please make sure to check for shrimp in the  sponge before throwing it away!

Domestic shipping only!  Sorry, we cannot ship to anyone in Hawaii & Washington State.

We ship on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday via USPS Priority.  Once we get your order, we will ship it within 1 to 3 business days.  For the safety of the animals, we do not ship aquatic life on Thursday and Friday. We do not want live aquatic animals sitting in USPS warehouse over the weekend. Thank you for your understanding.

Note: Shrimp can live in the shipping box 2 weeks / 14 days + They can handle COLD!

When you receive the shrimp, if the water is very cold, let them sit in the open shipping box for 2 hours before you put them in the tank.

Slowly warming them up is very important! 

Note:  Shrimp are very hard to count.  Please put them in a small container, then count them!

Poor color quality

I've purchased with Huna in the past a few years ago (2020) and had a wonderful experience. Unfortunately my most recent purchase (2025) was an entirely different experience. About 50% of my order was DOA, and another 25% died within a week. I've been in the aquarium hobby for over 10 year and have lots of experience with order stock online and acclimating them to well established, stabled tanks. They do honor their DOA policy and respond quickly however I'm unlikely to risk this experience or waste money on shipping with them.

Another noticeable difference is the color quality and how honestly Huna represents their product. I ordered fire red shrimp, not cherry shrimp. The difference is entirely about color grade (and price). I didn't get fire red shrimp, I got low quality cherry shrimp. I guess they just hoped I wouldn't notice. Their Jade Green shrimp were even worse, there was very clearly culls from their skittle/blue shrimp colony, sold as Jade Green.

DOA happen with shipping, thing can happen beyond a store's control, but to replace a higher quality product with a lower one was an intentional choice and is the main reason I won't be ordering from Huna again.
