So happy with these fish. They are all doing great

This is my 7th batch of fish from Aqua Huna and the first to not get 5 stars. Bought 8 cherry barbs. When I opened the bag after less than 48 hours in transit the stench about knocked me over! The water smelled absolutely putrid; I’ve never smelled aquarium water like that. One barb was dead, the others active. I’m confident the smell was not from the dead fish, which did not smell unusual when I removed it; it was the water.

After proper acclimation (and discarding the water) fish were transferred to a quarantine tank. A second fish died within a few hours, but the other 6 seem OK two days later, though they are hyper active and very high strung.

I think Aqua Huna needs to look into why this water was so nasty; they usually do such a great job otherwise and I will continue to order from them.

My cherry barbs arrived alive, happy, and are continuing to thrive. I'm very pleased! Thank you!
