Purchased two dozen between December 18, 2025 and January 09, 2026. As of this date (May 02, 2026) all have perished without an obvious reason. One hundred thirty-five-gallon tank with pristine water. Tankmates include 7 angles, 14 Harlequin Rasbora, and 4 Reticulated Hillstream Loachs with a colony of shrimp.
The Rams were rarely seen, and stayed to the back of the tank, only coming out to eat. Too high a cost for such a notoriously delicate and sensitive fish.
Two of the ten I ordered died within the first week (the first one about 4 days after receiving them, and the second had some kind of injury that got worse until they eventually died after about a week), which definitely stings, but the rest seem to be doing well in quarantine. I'm obsessed with these little guys; They look good and I find them very amusing to watch. :)
