I wanted to try Agassizii after my male Cacatuoides passed so I looked around at different options. I liked the look of the fish in the photos and the price seemed good compared to what I've seen before when my LFS had them so I pulled the trigger. I've had good experiences with Aqua Huna in the past so I figured it would be fine.
The Good: Fish were sexed correctly and both fish arrived alive and healthy. They acclimated well and seem to be getting along fine in the tank with a little bit of aggression as expected from Agassizii, but nothing out of hand.
The Bad: The quality of the fish (at least the male) seems low. The male doesn't really display the color depicted in the photos. It's more of a dull orange than the more vivid color depicted in the photo and the color doesn't cover the fins as much as the fish in the photo. I don't know if it's a case of the photographs being post processed to bump up saturation or if there's just that much variance in this strain/morph, but I'm definitely not impressed. The fish are also ignoring both the Xtreme Nano and Northfin Cichlid pellets that I normally feed which means that I'm having to feed them frozen and live foods.
Verdict: If I could do it over again, I would not order these particular fish from here. Aqua Huna does a great job with shipping and the prices are good, but I can't say that I'm happy with the fish I got and I honestly should have just paid a little bit extra to buy a higher quality strain from a breeder.
The fact that they're not touching the dry food is a bit inconvenient, but not really a dealbreaker for me. What annoys me more is that I feel a bit mislead by the photos in this case. It's not that my fish look nothing like it or that they sent something else, but my male looks like it would probably be a borderline cull. I guess I'll take this lesson for next time.
