Ordered 20 of these awesome fish and they arrived happy and healthy in the mid 90 degree heat here in FL. I did the FedEx overnight so they spent as little time in the process as possible. I have these fish housed with galazy rasboras (celestial pearl danios) and they are doing fantastic. Placed my order on July 29 (Wednesday) in the wee hours of the morning (~1am central time) and the next day, Aqua Huna emailed me saying the ember tetras weren't ready to ship until the following week, which would delay the shipping of the other items I ordered. No problem at all. I knew it was risky ordering that late and expecting shipment end of that "next" day close of business. They shipped 8/3, it arrived 8/4 all happy and smiling. Fun fish, great service, and everyone is happy. This was my second ordering experience with Aqua Huna and it was just as great as the first. Going to stock my 60 gallon tank soon and I'll be ordering from Aqua Huna again.
CPDs aka galaxy rasbora are one of my new favorites. Getting back into the hobby after a 20-year break and did a lot of research on what I wanted. I did mollies, platies, swordtails, green spotted puffer, dragon goby in brackish water in the past. First freshwater tank for me are these CPDs. These little guys are so cute! I paired them with ember tetras as a dither fish and the CPDs love the tetras. They arrived lively and love their tank. Did my first water change today since they arrived on 8/4 and found two didn't make it. Probably the stress of things. One thing to note, they are pretty chill but if you use a magnetic scrubber for the algae on your tank sides, they will FREAK out and hide. haha I live in Florida and it was mid-90s when these arrived. I did the FedEx overnight to minimize travel time. Well worth the $30 to do what I can to make sure these guys arrived happy.
I ordered 24 first batch and then another 8 just to even things out a bit for the other tank. They are super fun to watch swim. They can dart very fast over short distances. Some of mine like riding on the snail shells and cleaning them up. The batch I got was dark navy blue which is really awesome to look at. In the first batch, two females were carrying eggs, so now I have some baby shrimp to watch grow up. Excellent service.
