We paid for over night shipping, they were ready to ship, but then could not be shipped due to flooding at Aqua Huna, so they were picked up in a day or two instead. Despite the cold weather, this shipment recovered well, are out of quarantine, and are happy. We just were sad that 2 other varieties arrived sick and did not fare as well and most of those died. Some were DOA but they continue to die every day. But the cherry barbs are healthy and doing okay.
These survived sitting in a bag for a few days because of the flooding, even though we paid for over night shipping, it took a few days to get here due to the flooding they could not get picked up right away. But they recovered from transport and are doing well. This is how it should be; we were not as lucky with the 2 other kinds of fish.
Some were DOA, the fish arrived emaciated. Some appeared to have a film on them, we tried to get info from AquaHuna but they did not respond. Came with a fungus which we have tried to treat, but they are low energy and one will start swimming off and then be dead the next day; they continue to die at a rate of 1 or 2 per day. Paid for over night shipping but the facility had flooding so evidently the fish sat in bags for a couple of days until they could be picked up. Feelings about this order: irritated. Depressing to see them sick and more die every day.
