I received 15 of these and 12 died. They got PH shock and developed a bacterial infection after two days. It would be nice to know what your PH water parameters are for your fish and/or the fish that may be more sensitive to a difference in PH prior to shipping, perhaps on the info page. My water is a higher PH. These seem to like it lower. It would have been nice to know so I could have adjusted it before they came! These aren't inexpensive fish.
Java moss grows like a weed. The tiny cup and tiny amount should have been bigger! Again, trying to make a buck as fast as they can, instead of giving a decent amount.
All but one was small and they never ate any of the standard food items; pellets, green beans, spinach, flakes, cucumber, or blood worms. After four days I got a response from them telling me to use seaweed. Who uses that? That should have been noted in the info area on the pleco page. After five days I lost all but one! The "three day guarantee" period is a clever sales tactic, since it takes about five days before a fish will starve. Feeding specific food on baby fish, like plecos, will cause them to only look for that until they get bigger. They should wait until they are at least 3-4" before selling them to insure a healthy transition. Selling them as soon as they can to make a quick buck is a risky venture, especially if they want repeat customers!
