I got five of these dwarf chain loaches. When they came in they looked healthy and active. I acclimated the bag to my aquarium before releasing them in an hour later. I made a major mistake by not quarantining them because a week and a half later they got the ich (white cysts) and spread it to my two plecos and 10 rice fish. It wiped out most of my fish within three days. I’m so disappointed and no longer motivated to rebuild. I guess I’m raising snails from now on.

I’ll hold up my hand to say I really should have quarantined the loaches but even if I did, the dwarf chain loaches would have been lost. At least my kuhli loaches I also got from AH seem unaffected…so far. This sucked:

I got 4 of them, and they’re all doing wonderfully. They’re very active and seem to be having a great time cleaning the substrate in my tank. A+
