These are perfect for a small patio pond - of the three I received, I was lucky enough to get a female, so I put one male and female in my patio pond, and the third I put in a tank that has some kuhli loaches that's overrun with neo shrimp (hoping the gourami will do a bit of population control). The male gourami doesn't bother the kuhli loaches at all, although they are a bit wary of him. These powder blue gouramis are friendly and have great personalities, and are really fun fish. The ones in the patio pond get along very well with the other fish, which are Indian rice fish and pygmy corys. And they look really great in the patio pond!
